LIFE'S MESSY....CLEAN IT UP

OH MY GOD....Lucy ate dog poop today. I should say she put it in her mouth and started crying.I instantly grabbed her, wipe her mouth with a wipe, had her drink water, and in the tub she went for a good long time. I don't know who's poop it was but now I have to bring both dogs to the vet to make sure they don't have any parasites. Apparently it will take up to three weeks for Lucy to show any signs if she had any! I'm thinking she is fine but of course can't be too careful! GROSS...what a day.It truly was one of THOSE days. We just got back from visiting Nana,Jeni, Ryan and Schmoopie and had such a great time. We squeezed in a lot in a day and a half. We went late Wednesday and came home late last night. We were able to go to the beach, see Jeni and Schmoopie sing and Kevin and Ryan went parasailing. Lucy LOVES the ocean. Nana took her in the water and she had a blast. The sand on Clearwater Beach is so incredibly soft I can't believe it....oh Lucy also eats sand...this I got a picture of. I thought about taking out the camera for dog poop mouth but thought better of it. I didn't want to leave her with poopie mouth while I got the camera. It would have been fun to show her first boyfriend, Oh well.

THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE FREE!

Kevin and I took Lucy to the Children's museum today, and had a pretty good time. Her favorite thing to do? Climb the stairs, we must have went up and down the stairs five times! We had more fun on the ride home.(She slept on the way there)She was in a great mood on the way back, Kevin had the AC on in the car so I threw her blanket on her and she started playing peek-a-boo. The pics show her playing, she really got a kick out of it. Before going home we stopped off at a park to get some more energy out and Lucy had a blast running around while Kevin chased her, you can see her laughing when he threw her up in the air.

I guess we could have skipped the museum!

LUCY LOVES THE LIBRARY

We went to the library today, and had so much fun. Lucy looked around and was mesmerized by all the books. I'm not sure what she was thinking, but compared to her little book shelf at home, and the look on her face she must have been thinking....WOW! Here she is making her selection, she picked out Cleo's Color Book. We spent some time on the big teddy bear pillow and then headed home to read our new books and take a much needed nap. Here she is making her selection. Great Lucy Day!!

THE BOY NEXT DOOR

How cute is this picture, my neighbor just e-mailed me this picture of Lucy and his son Ellis. Ellis will be two at the end of May. There are some great pics of him in the slide show.

Lucy's Dad hasn't seen this yet, bet he didn't think of this when he put a gate between our houses: )

Lucy's baby well visit

We all went to Lucy's one year Dr. appointment today, she is fabulous. Super healthy, right on track...ok a little ahead on the track.

She is super tall, 90th% for height, and lean, 35th% for weight. Dr. Williams says, "long and lean like her Mama." (We like Dr. Williams)

She is officially off the formula, so we got a little pay raise this week. Yahooooo!

Lucy is one

I can't believe a year has gone by since my baby doll was born. Everyone said it will go fast and of course they were right....I just didn't believe them in the first few months. Lots of firsts....she's walking, she says "whats that?", and she is fearless with an independent nature although she will hug and kiss upon request. She is my joy everyday.

Lucy had a fabulous first birthday with lots of guests, her Nana, Auntie Jeni, sister Bethany, cousin Ryan, and neighbors and friends all joined us to celebrate. She wore a perfect, polka dotted party dress and had an Elmo banana cake made from scratch by moi. (according to my husband it was the best cake he ever had) Turns out she loves the crowd, she wasn't shy and didn't cry once at all the attention. In fact she seemed to bask in it, clapping after all her gifts were opened.

Things are settling down, but I think Lucy is wondering where everyone went.....missing all the excitement. Gee I wonder which parent she gets that trait from?
