HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We had to say good bye to Nanny today so Ryan could spend some time with her too.Lucy was sad when we dropped her Nanny off at the airport but we had her for Christmas so it was only fair....we did manage to salvage a little bit of Christmas. We are just grateful to be in our home. We got a Lucy size tree and had so much fun decorating. Lucy surprised us when she woke up in the morning and saw the gifts Santa had left. She used her signature expression, "WHAT'S THAT?!?!?!? It was fun to watch.

Today after we dropped Nanny off, we made the most of our day and the beautiful weather and headed to the Houston Zoo. We had a wonderful time and Lucy loved running around and seeing all the animals, especially "The Roar"...the Lion of course: )

FIRST STEPS....

I came across this video and it is too cute not to share! Lucy was 9 months old here.

SNOW IN HOUSTON?

Yes, Lucky Lucy experienced some snow! I'm not sure she liked it....too cold...but I know her Daddy did!

LUCY AND NINO

Here are a couple pics of Lucy and Dino....Lucy's name for Dino is Nino. She is still talking about Nino!

LUCY AND MOMMY'S BIG ADVENTURE

Lucy and I got a chance to visit my best friends in the Bay Area..Lorna in Oakland and Deborah in Marin County. It was Lorna's 40th Birthday....can you believe I have friends that old? Anyway, we flew in for the weekend and we had the best time. We stayed with Deborah and her family. They have a son, Nino....I mean Dino, 3 months younger than Lucy. They were so cute together. We had a great visit and even got in some adult time at Lorna's B-day party and girl time (pedicures) thanks to Debs Mom who watched Lucy for me!

Lucy is a great traveler and did fantastic on both...very long....flights. Here she is on the way up. As soon as she sat down and saw the airplane next to us out the window she started screaming with excitement, "what's that...what's that?"I let her know how great she did the whole trip so when we landed late Sunday night and she was half asleep in my arms she kept saying, "Great job....great job."

I'll post more pics from our trip soon!
